Hershey Park Information Travel To: Hershey Park, Hershey, PA Band Student Arrival Time: 5:30 AM Arrival Place: Langston Hughes Middle School Cafeteria Bus Departure: 6:00 AM (WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE STUDENTS) Concert Dress: Black pants (or long skirts for girls), white wing-tip tuxedo shirt, black dress shoes and socks, bow tie/cummerbund What you MUST bring: Instrument and Music, change of clothes for the park (LHMS band t-shirt is the MANDATORY top), including comfortable sneakers! What you can bring: Rain wear, jackets, Ipod/MP3 player with head phones, pillow, blanket, turned off cell phones & snacks. Remember the school, teachers, bus driver and bus company are NOT responsible for any stolen or lost personal items. Food and Spending Money: Food is not provided during the day at Hershey Park. Please bring a bagged lunch and/or snacks from home. You may also want to bring extra spending money for the park for snacks/souvenirs. Money needed per student: approximately $25 for lunch & dinner. More if souvenirs are purchased. Return time to the school: Approximately 11:30 p.m-12:00 a.m. Please be prompt in picking up your child. Questions? All students should be dressed in concert attire (black bottom, white wing-tip tuxedo shirt, bowtie/cummerbund, black shoes (dress shoes preferably) and socks) and carrying their instruments when arriving at school 5:45 AM— Students load buses 6:00 AM—Depart LHMS (WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE STUDENTS!) 9:00 AM— Students arrive at performance site—Hershey High School; Homestead Road PO Box 898 Hershey, PA 17033 9:40AM— LHMS Concert Band warm-up 11:30AM (approximately)—Depart performance site 12:00 PM (approximately)—Arrive at Hershey Park, Hershey, PA 3:00 PM— Chaperone check-in #1 (Founders Square-around the carousel) 6:00PM—Chaperone check-in #2. Meet Chaperones at Founders Square at the carousel. All LHMS band students will walk together to the awards ceremony, and sit with the rest of the LHMS music students. 6:30PM—Awards Ceremony, Hershey Park Arena 7:00 PM – Return to Park 8:30 PM— Meet chaperones at Founders Square (carousel) and return to buses 9:00 PM — Buses depart for LHMS Between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM— Arrive at LHMS

Upon graduation from Hughes, you may elect to donate the outfit to the school if you so desire. Panther Bands has mail list that will be used to send announcements about class and performances. A signup sheet will be passed around at Back-to-Band and Back-to-School night.
